Bobbee Lee Camp is a freelance artist from the Southern Illinois/St. Louis metro area and now
resides in Zephyrhills, Florida. She studied art and photograpy, as well as scenic design at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville and worked with the scenic artists at the St. Louis Metropolitan Opera as an assistant. While in military sevice, Bobbee Lee was afforded the opportunity to work with Japanese silk screen artists and master model makers in Okinawa.
For nearly 25 years she has worked with various media, focusing on watercolor, pen & ink,
and graphic design with occasional wood work thrown in for tactile pleasure. Besides her freelance work, she earned money for college by working in silk screening and photography jobs. She also was the Art Director of Plus Magazine, a local entertainment publication in St. Louis, Missouri. Over the past decade she has added computer graphics to her design work abilities.
Bobbee Lee is primarily known for her first love, watercolors, having displayed her work in the
St. Louis and the Tampa Bay areas. While an occasional abstract or still life is not out of the question, she is better known for her hauntingly peaceful landscapes. Bobbee Lee has won several awards for her watercolor work and has been notably recognized by the Gateway East Artist Guild and the Lambda Art Group. |
